2020-2021 Tuition & Policies
The calendar year is 37 weeks in length not including studio vacation breaks. The first day of classes starts 9/8/2020. The last day of classes is 6/19/2021. No classes November 25th-29th, December 21st-January 3rd 2021, February 15th-16th, and May 31st.

Tuition & Fees
The 2020-2021 Dance Season includes 10 monthly payments based off our 37 weeks season broken down into convenient monthly payments. The first payment will be charged at time of enrollment.
Each month will be charged via auto-pay on the 25th of each month. (For example: October tuition will be charged on September 25th.)

Payment types accepted: Debit/Credit Card (Mastercard, Visa & Discover).
You are required to provide Studio A Dance with any changes to your card on file. To update your card on file, log in to your online account.
If your account remains outstanding on the 1st of the month, a $15 late fee will be charged and your child will not be permitted to participate in class until your account is reconciled.

Dance is a progressive sport in which skills build upon one another and it is important to continue to practice the art form on a regular basis to see progress and therefore it is important to complete the entire 10 month dance season. If you withdraw from a class, but remain active in another, a 15 day written notification is required to avoid tuition charge. If you must withdraw from all classes due to medical reasons or other, please notify the studio in writing via email. There is a Required 30 day written notification from when tuition is due/charged on the 25th, which means that you are responsible for payment of your tuition for the following month, no exceptions. (For example, if you withdraw you or your child from a class or classes on November 1st, you will be responsible for the November 25th tuition payment.)
Regular attendance in class is necessary to learn and grow as a dancer and performer. Please make every effort to come to class to get the most out of your learning experience. If missing class is unavoidable due to illness, school or family function, etc. please notify us via email or phone that you will not be at class that day.
Specific leotards, tights, and shoes, are required for attending class and many can only be purchased through Curtain Call for Class. All Required Dress Code dancewear can be purchased through Curtain Call For Class. Please review the website's required list of items and make sure that you purchase the exact brand and color listed within your class list. Students who come unprepared to class without the proper attire may be asked to sit out without refund.
Students have the option to make-up classes missed due to snow days or illness. There is a one-month time frame to make up the missed class. Students may choose their own make-up class, as long as the class is the same level or is approved by the instructor. If there are more than two snow days for a designated class, we will schedule a Make-Up class. Refunds will not be issued for classes missed due to illness, holidays, or snow days, natural disasters, or national emergencies. In the event of a natural disaster, prolonged closure due to a national emergency, we will move to a Virtual Online Classroom Format to continue your dancer’s dance education and if necessary may extend the season under the director's discretion.
Annual Spring Performance
Studio A Dance & Performing Arts, LLC showcases dancers in a year-end performance that will be held in June. Participation is required. Dancers love to show what they have accomplished throughout the year and performing is part of a dancer’s skill progression and individual growth. There will be mandatory rehearsals held during the week preceding the performance, at the studio and/or at the theater in which the performance will take place. Dates and locations of the performance will be announced in classes and information will be posted on the website as well. Please be advised that additional accessories may have to be purchased such as undergarments, hair ties, etc. All costume pieces and tights are included in your tuition.
Tickets for performances will be available for purchase online approximately three weeks in advance of the performance. Tickets must be purchased for each show if attending more than one show. Tickets are not interchangeable between shows. Ticket prices cover our venue, staff and equipment costs that are required to produce our show.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Please drop off your child no earlier than 10 minutes before class and please be on time to pick up your child at the end of their class. Students must wait inside while waiting to be picked up.
Rules & Regulations
Please be respectful of Studio A and its instructors as we want to provide an overall enjoyable experience for all students while inside the studio as well as at functions outside of the studio, i.e.: workshops or performances. In keeping this in mind, please turn your phone to silent or vibrate, and keep it with your personal belongings. No hanging on the ballet barres and please do not touch the mirrors with your hands. Studio A reserves the right to remove a student from class without refund for displaying bad behavior or not coming prepared to class with the proper shoes and attire.
Studio A promotes a positive educational learning environment to inspire students to become the best dancer and individual they can be! Bullying of any kind to any dancer will not be tolerated during class or outside of class. Negativity will also not be tolerated on studio grounds including the studio waiting room, studio dance rooms, or at any studio event held outside of the studio etc.
A student's placement in class is very important to their learning and growth. Students learn at different rates and are placed according to ability, work ethic, and maturity level. Placement is not purely based on age. Please contact the studio before registering for class so that the appropriate level can be chosen that best suits the dancer.

Studio A has become a second home to Maddie. Over the last few years, we have watched her confidence blossom and her love of dancing grow. The staff has been able to strike a unique balance of meeting Maddie where she is and pushing her beyond where she thought she could go...all in a nurturing, guiding way. Maddie can't wait to get to class and always comes out smiling. Miss Ann provides excellent communication and registering couldn't be easier! We tried many different studios when Maddie was younger and when we found Studio A, it was like we had finally found Maddie's place! We couldn't be happier.
