Primary Acro

Safe and effective progressions will be taught in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling.  Developed with input from professionals and experts in ballet, modern dance, jazz, contortion, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sport acrobatics, yoga, acro yoga, pilates, physiotherapy, hand balancing and more, you will not find a more comprehensive program.  Simple thoughtful progressions take the beginner preschool level dancer from log rolls and summersaults to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage!
Primary Ballet
  • Tuesday, 4:10-5:00pm
Ballet is the foundation of all other dance styles.  The French and Russian styles will be taught beginning with exercises at the barre and continue with center and across the floor combinations.  Ballet vocabulary and proper technique will be emphasized and level of complexity will coincide with class level.

Triple Threat
  • Wednesday, 5:25-6:20pm

Are you interested in tap dancing like Fred Astaire or Savion Glover? Do you dream of dancing the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker or Odette from Swan Lake? Have you ever wanted to dance like a Broadway star or wondered how to move like dancers on So You Think You Can Dance? 
 
In this combination class, students will learn Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. In Ballet, students will learn to control, lengthen, and flow their bodies with emphasis on proper technique and vocabulary. In Tap, students will learn to use balance, counting, and timing to dance with clarity and crispness as they dance in unison with the class. In Jazz, students will be taught the basics including body isolations, kicks, leaps, jumps, and turns.

Intensive Dance (Green Team)
  • Saturday, 11:35-12:05pm
This program is for students Ages 5-18 (Green Team: Ages 5-6) who wish to study dance at a more intense level of technical training. Dancers are selected into the Intensive Program through invitation or through an audition. Those dancers selected are required to take Jazz and Ballet as well as Choreography Rehearsal classes. Dancers will perform at local festivals and events as well as dancers will be exposed to outside workshops and classes and will compete in two or three competitions a year.
